I have plantlets and on one of them there appears to be a red steman, and some other squiggly looking pieces that are almost white. the rest of the plantlet is green. Is this a flower of sorts?

I noticed the same thing happening to the chainsword in my other tank as well. so I guess it's normal, and the plants are getting the correct nutients.

I can't decipher the picture well but to answer your question, yes, chainswords do bloom. :)

The flower is on the left - on the long stalk -- white round flower buds.

ok thanks, my chain sword doesn't look like yours.the main plants died and I was left with a chains of plantlets.

I just purchased my first chain sword about a two weeks ago. Same thing happened to me. The "Mother" plant is looking pretty I'll but it has shot out two runners that contain about 12 baby plants total. Some of them aren't looking so baby-like anymore.

Karen Randal answered my question and said chainsword does not bloom if fully submerged. I will post a picture of the plantlets to be sure I have chainsword.
