am i oldschool to still be using an airstone? ive noticed in lots of pictures the lack of airstones lately...does this mean they arent nescessary anymore?
i still use mine but i just remebered to replace them yesterday...after about two weeks of gunkiness. I think some people just don't want to deal with them, or people like me enjoy them but forget to upkeep them. :hang:
When you mean necessary do you mean adding O2 to the water (aeration)? Surface agitation by use of powerheads, etc. will provide much better air to water absorption than airstones.
Oh... I guess I misread. I use the airstones only in my UGF lift tubes... I don't use those long bubble bars as decor. I never have. Never been my thing...
yeah those big luggy things lol
i was always under the impression that you can keep more fish if you run an airstone, of course i got the idea from old books that were published in 1960 lol....guess i should throw them away :dive2:
