Does my Tiger Barb look fat to you?

Im a bit concerned that my one tiger barbs belly is about 2x's as big as any other tiger barb in the tank. Visitors keep asking me if i have a pregnant fish! Honestly, i believe this fish is male, I call him The Don of my tiger barb mafia- all day he chases other barbs around, you can tell he is clearly the leader! So is it safe to assume he is male, and not pregnant? He's been this way (noticeably fat!) probably for a month or so. Should i be concerned?

He looks healthy to me. Mine were that fat when I had some. Tigers and Gold barbs are naturally fat.

Man those barbs can eat, every time I feed mine, I think they are going to explode!

If he is over fed than maybe you should feed him some peas to help him poop. He could be constipated. If he doesn't get skinnier after that than I've heard of some sort of sickness where fish get fat and eventually die. However I do not think that is the case here because your TB obviously looks healthy.

I try not to overfeed, but i do have to put in a good amount to ensure that the more timid fish on the bottom get some sinking flakes. When the tiger barbs are eating youd think it was more like a shark feeding frenzy! I love the little smacking sounds they all make at the surface of the water. Man they are pigs- I bet with how bossy and aggressive The Don is all the time that he ends up eating half of the flakes that get put in for the 20+ fish.

feed the tb what u think is an appropriate amount the wait 5 or so min. that might help ur other fish out while preventing overfeeding of the tb
