Does prime smell bad?

black specks are normal also.

The sulphur smell comes from when it reacts with the chlorine and/or ammonia i think. My water is lightly chlorinated as compared with some other places. I've talked with people that live in the city where they chlorinate about as heavy as pool water and they sulphur smell that comes off of it about chokes them they say.

the key ingredient is sodium thiosulphate (i think, most conditioners use this core) which reacts with chlorine. 2S2O3(-2) + Cl2 ---> 2Cl(-1) + S4O6(-2).

I do not pretend to fully understand that above, i ripped it from another page (http://www.newton.dep.anl.gov/askasci/gen01/gen01377.htm) but the CL ions will probably combine with the sodium from the hypo to make salt and the s4o6 i THINK react with the water creating hydrogen sulfide (nasty smelling stuff) and stuff. Unless you are using the conditioner to convert bleach the h2s created will be way below toxic levels. Please correct me if im wrong :) .. i am winging the last half of this :)

Everything smells bad when you're preggers! ;)

But yes, Prime reeks, I avoid catching a whiff at all costs.

I remember when I spilt my amquel once and it was a horrid smell took a while to get rid of to.
