Does salt effect plants?

Does salt effect live plants? I don't mean a lot, a little, like somewhere around a teaspoon per 10 gallons.

But do note that the plants and figure I gave in that thread are way beyond 1 teaspoon per 10 gal. That specified dosage level is undetecable by hobby swing-arm specific gravity testers.
