Does salt mix stabilize PH?

I heard that you don't have to add anything to RO water for SW tanks if you just use the Salt mix. Does this include the PH?

When I do my SW (with RO water), the pH is about 8.2. I did have to add a little buffer to the tank in the few weeks after the cycle completed (pH had dropped to, IIRC, about 7.9, and alk was a bit low too), but since then it's been steady at 8.2.

To answer the original question, yes. Most salt mixes have a buffer already added to them to make the ph reach 8.2.
