does tetra easy balance really reduce nitrates?

regularly, it is safe to say this for me

if prime was not available there is no way i would run 1200g+ of tanks with more being added, which is why you find that those of us who use it advocate for it over any other product it is premium water treatement in my mind

next time you go to the lfs to get supplies take the time to look at the directions on the back of bottles and see the amount of yield to cost ratio of prime versus others

i have a method where i can fast track a tank and super cycle it by loading a tank with a killer amount of squeezed filter medium and prime is the only conditioner i have found that can spank the bad quality of the water into the good range. now while people may strongly disagree with me on this method it works for me and i attribute that to prime

i just set up my 140g home for my iri sharks and had fish in after 3 days and have had no issues

on the same note i also advocate regular wc i do about 40-50% on my tanks every week sometimes i do twice a week on my 180 since i have a few larger fish and this tank is also a holding tank for a few others im about to retank like my zilli tilapia

I'll put my .02 in. I work for Petco and I have had aquariums for over 14 years and I still wouldn't call myself an expert although I'm their "specialist". I strongly advise against any chemicals. The one that I do recommend is Prime or any of the declorinators but that is it. I tell people to do weekly WC and this is what I get....:22_yikes:. Most the people that shop big box stores are usually (but not all the time) inexperience and are looking for the easy way out or the quick fix. I think that there are so many reasons why you shouldn't go 6 months without a WC.
