Does this protein skimmer go inside my tank ?

So the guy who sold me this tank months ago said I can insta this protein skimmer “inside” the tank ? Is that true ?? it’s called a “ Aqua Euro” protein skimmer 2 I have no clue about protein skimmers to much

Normally a protein skimmer would only be for a saltwater aquarium
