Doggy is sick need help!

Yes, make sure you cook the ground beef real good, you don't want to have any grease or fat in it. The straining you're seeing with the diarrhea is probably just because the whole colon/intestinal tract is so inflammed/irritated that the dog still feels the sensations to poop. If you know the dog has taken a drink recently, pick up the water bowl for just a couple of hours and let the dog and its intestinal tract rest for a bit. Get some rest yourself too!! Keep us posted....

I recently took my dogs to the lake and they drank stagnant water. They woke up in the middle of the night having blow-outs too. I did the bland diet mentioned above but used chicken instead of beef. The vet gave them a few pills for possible parasites and told me to give them immodium (the low dose).

Welp, update is i fasted him and only had water out yesterday. He had to go out less and less and he slept all night, thank god. Today I did the beef and rice around 11:30am. It's 3:07 now and he hasn't pooped yet so maybe he's better now.

the issue with oils and things, is that they do their job, lol, they coat everything, and it will take sometime to fully pass:)

my dog once ate a whole jar of vaseline:( ewww! talk about some gross stuff!!

I've just never had a dog that literally wants to eat anything atleast once. He ate a pair of my $20 practice drum sticks, XBOX LIVE mic, an Offical NFL hat, GFs $100 dress shoes, bag o jolly ranchers + wrappers, Crayons (he liked orange by show of his poo), so many other things I can't remember.

LMAO, my staffy eats everything she can find, crayons, glue, remote controls, cell phones, my wall, my steps, ..barbies, match box cars, ..I could go on, ..you wouldn't believe the stuff she has ingested!! its crazy! she even started eating my coffee tables, ..
