Hello everyone!

I have had a couple dojos through out the years, and I finally got another one the other day. It's a golden dojo and I was wondering if they enjoyed the company of other dojos? I wouldn't mind getting a few more, possibly 1-3 more if they like having fiends around:)

thanks!

Try this site: http://www.loaches.com/species-index/weather-loach-misgurnis-anguillicaudatus
It says: "Because of their sociability, they should not be kept singly as they like to sit in groups when at rest. They will often sidle up against one another and feel one another with their barbels."
It also says: "A group of three should be the minimum and even that small of a group will need quite a spacious aquarium."
Apparently they get up to 10 inches long.
Hope that helps!

I do not see the problem with one unlike most other species. I've kept one and it never pined away unlike the other species I tried. It just comes down to human entertainment. Bottom line, if your tank has enough space, then go for it otherwise one is fine by itself.

I will most likely be getting 1 or 2 more tonight then, My tank has room for more, I have a 125 gallon with only 2 fish and 3 snails:-/ lol And yes the tank was cycled prior to adding fish and all parameters are just dandy:)

Slow and steady I suppose!

Has anyone kept their dojos with a black ghost knife? I plan on getting one in the near future.

I don't see the issue with BGKs with dojos. BGKs tend to mind their own business. What species are your snails? Hmmm...I haven't tried the apple snails with BGKs.

3 mystery snails right now, two gold and one blackish brownish bluish one:), I don't think I will be getting anymore. I read in the invert section that weather(Dojo) loaches are safe to keep with them, I've seen my dojo sharing the snail jello I made with them, kinda interesting to watch lol.

that was my main concern as well, when ever I do get around to getting a BGK and it does start snapping at them I do have another tank that the dojos can live in
