My friend asked me to put this out. She has a tank with 2 dojo loaches and a few platies.
The oldest dojo came with the tank about a year ago and is 5 or 6 inches, the second has been in there at least half a year and is about 2/3 the size of the first.
She says, periodically, about every few weeks to once a month she finds a large (several inches long) pinkish slimy, filmy gelatinous blob in the tank-like "pink snot"
She removes it and throws it away. The water levels are good, the fish healthy and active. She wants to know what this stuff might be.
I haven't a clue.
