dojoloach ques.

no matter what you try to say it's still overstocked. the issue with overstocking usually doesn't have much to do with anything you just listed, it has to do with the fish producing too much waste for your biofilter to handle, thereby killing or posioning themselves unless you really know what you're doing and test your water daily. do you even know your water params?
and the only fish you should return due to this type of overstocking are 2 of the khuli loaches, you should return the HS loach because it WILL eventually die in tropical water, it will take a while but it'll happen. the CAE WILL outgrow your tank shortly. and your cory is fine but he is probably extremely lonely and exhibits little natural behavior (and unless you have seen a shoal of cories putter around and know that he is just as active as they are, you cannot say he is expressing natural behavior)

My filter is fine and is doing fine, did u read the last post of mine on the HS article? And about the CAE, read my tank overload articl too. But i still dont understand the thing about the 2 kuhli's going? U sed i had 2 any fish so i cant get another cory, maybe i should get rid of the paradise fish soon.

you don't know it's fine unless you test your water. there are no visible symptoms of ammonia, nitrites, or nitrates. read the article on cycling and you'll understand. there is no way to know unless you test your water.
you need to get rid of 2 of your khulis loaches because khuli loaches grow 4-5" long. 5 4 inch long fish is too much for your filter to handle, PLUS a hillstream loach which is already a very sensitve creature, PLUS a CAE who is akready too much for the tank from the get-go, PLUS 2 ADFs, PLUS a bamboo shrimp, which get pretty big BTW. add in a cory and a paradise fish and it's a disaster waiting to happen.

what HS loach article?

Hi,

I guess I haven't been reading all the threads, so what fish and how many do you have in your tank?

Cories need to be kept in groups (just like kuhli loaches) of three+. And are quite lonely if kept alone.

in my above post I basically said his stocking list.

i checked my ph and your right, it was really acidic, now i no to change almost weekly and yes my filter was a brown sloppy mess! im gonna try to get a new filter bag every 2 month's. The kuhli's growing 4-5", never heard of such a thing! all 146 sights i checked say 2-3". Im selling the Algae eater when it grows 2 be 4 inches, right now it's only 1 and a half. The HS was kind of an experiment about testing the fish in another environment, if it dies i no not to get another one. Yes i no poor cory dora, i thought since the cory thinks that the PF is a cory and the PF thinks it's a cory. they hang out so much and yet yah the cory is turning orange when it used to be bright green. it plays with it's reflection, but it's lived for 2-3 yrs already.

...but, just to let you know kuhliloach, my PetSmart sells Dojo Loaches and I'm sure that they probably stock the same fish there nationwide so if you have a PetSmart near you, look near the goldfish and you will see their dojo loaches.
You can also order online from a place like http://www.liveaquaria.com/
They carry Gold Dojo Loaches. I don't think that they're in stock right now, but you can click the button that says "Email Me" and they will email you when they come in stock.

...hope that helps.

Hi,

Thats great your Paradise Fish and Cory hang out, but its not even close to having another Cory. I would suggest returning some fish, and getting more Cories.
