Hey Guys don't feel bad 15+ Brigs and no little ones yet....

:help: help? :help:

My clutch hatched out today. Last count there were 22 snails, I never expected them to be so small, thought they would be as big as the eggs. I kept them in the tupperware bowl and will have to change the water everyday until feel they are big enough to put in the tank. Do they grow quickly?

yes they do grow pretty quickly mine do i hatch about 6 clutches every month i have 9 tanks always ready with pea size snails to rehome im glad i am able to find so many homes locally.

if your tank is just a 10 gallon then i'd let them free roam the tank to grow up. i've done it with three batches of babies and it worked great each time. the blues n jades in my avatar i raised in a 10 at first. just make sure you are running sponge filters or have put pantyhose over your filter intake. shellkids don't like impeller rides.......

I am afraid to let them roam free in my ten gallon right now. Everyday in the 10 gallon I gather bladder snails that I find and put them in my turtle tank. I am not sure I will be able to tell if they are bladder snails or my new babies until the get a little bigger.

How big are they when they hatch?
You know, even with the water softener my ph is still over 8 with kh off the chart, and only the gh goes down. I'm begining to think that whatever amount of salt the water softener is putting in is making the snails sterile or something. I am trying to switch over to Kcl.
