Platies can work with a betta, but like what everyone else say it depends on the betta.

bettas are crazy some will kill anything in the tank others fine with anything.

This is true. I've had neon's in the same tank with a beta before. It all depends on the Beta. I think they will be fine in a 10 gallon as long as they all have some space...

Females do better in groups as they are more sociable than males.

im not sure what he'll do so i think im going to take him out and put some neons and maybe some serape tetras
