Don't you hate being followed?

ok, new "what if" scenario for those of you ladies who hate being looked at:

YOU see a guy in the store... gorgeous, hunky, steamy, whatever you wanna call it, before he sees you. make expected comment to girl-friend walking with you. Then notice that he's checking you out too.

bet you wouldn't be calling security then........

Nope, most won't. I don't care, pretty people can be pervs too.

Though when I have the 40yo creepy looking at me or my niece very OBVIOUSLY I either stare until they look away or leave or ask them if they have some kind of problem. I do not go out alone, I won't even walk around my block without my dog(s) and mace. And possibly my taser. And the dog pepper spray, and my cellphone.

The best thing to do is ignore them if they are just occasionally looking, you know, you're pretty, they can't help it. Not saying to act naive, or let your guard down at all. There was some creep here who used to drive by, honk, yell ect. I didn't think much of it, until he tried to force my friend and me (separate occasions) into his car. He was arrested for breaking into a 94 year old lady's house(won't go into what else he did to her :mad2: ) and trying to run over little kids.

Actually the recipe isn't mine.... I think Dangerdoll (or maybe Lady G?) originally posted it in the 'Favorite Recipes' thread.
*GASP* Mad, that was supposed to be kept between us and the VW Bug you were driving in ;)

BG... both a taser as well as the pepper spray are illegal in some states....

I have checked, we have a police officer who told us what type we could have, the taser thing was a joke though, wish I could own one for safety, pepper spray only goes so far.

Only the taser's that shoot the probs are illegal in Florida, as far as I know. Actually I just read that anything with a tethered distance of 16' or less is legal.

Also it kinda saddens me that when defining creepy the first thing that is brought up is their nationality.quote]

She isn't defining them as being creepy b/c they're hispanic; they just happen to be hispanic. There are plenty of creepy natural-born Americans too!

I tend to have this problem from time to time with guys staring at me while I'm out. I used to have the problem more often until I started dating my boyfriend who is 6'5" and close to 300 lbs. He's pretty intimidating! I don't think I look like a supermodel or anything either, and I never dress promiscuously (super short skirts that I may as well not be wearing, etc.). I've even been to the gas station once with no makeup on, crappy work clothes on, trying to buy some soda and been hit on by some 40-something year old guy! The whole time I'm trying to leave quickly while wondering how my current appearance could have been visually appealing to this stranger!

Also, think about getting mace instead of/in addition to a taser, caitylee. You can find it at an army/navy surplus store, and you can get a small canister to put on your keychain for handy use!

The aversion people have to being looked at is kinda funny to me... it's amazing how socially inept society has caused us to be, so that unless we know someone, we are not even allowed to glance in their direction for fear of being accused of intended violence?

sad, really. i guess it's not funny at all. i guess we'll just all have to arrange marriage for our children, since meeting random people will likely be illegal at this rate, by the time theyre old enough to take interest in the opposite sex.

I wouldn't classify myself as creepy (hehe... go ahead and make your comments) but according to this, looking at a pretty girl and waiting till she makes eye contact to smile is socially unacceptable? i guess i've been doing it wrong from the start.
