...with Melafix before doing a water change.
I am in day three of the treatment for a scraped nose on a cory and their weekly water change is due tomorrow. Will it weaken the effectivity by doing the scheduled water change? Would it be stupid to do the change after all seven day doses before changing the water?

Water changes do wonders for fish, redose after the water change as per directions.....:)

yep...don't skimp on the water changes (if anything step them up)...dose following the water change.

keep the water changes going. But am assuming that you are dosing your main tank. Medication should ideally be done in a hospital setup. Its no point medicating fish that do not need it.Also if you are using act-carbon in your filtration it would kill the effect of the medication.

So true, no point in medicating fish that dont need it. One other could of benefitted from the med, he has a nipped fin. But I dont have a quarantine tank yet. I have taken the carbon out, thankfully! I will go ahead and do the regular water change. I was just concerned by changing the water, we are back to square one with medication.
