Dosing with KCl

It states in Rex's web page
1g potassium sulphate raises potassium levels in 10 gallons water by 11.82ppm.

I don't have potassium sulphate but do have potassium chloride.

Am i correct to assume then that 2g of potassium chloride will raise potassium levels in 10 gallons water by the same amount??

If not what should the dosage be?

according to it 2 grams of KCL would raise 10 gallons of water to almost 28 ppm
