I'm purchasing a 29g tank, and need a new stand for it. I'd like something that has a shelf to allow placement of a 2nd tank.

Here are two examples of what I've seen so far ...

My question is ... what size of tank really fits on the bottom shelf?

Presently I have a 20g high tank that I'd like to keep and use, but it's not a must.

I want to make sure there's enough support, naturally, but also enough height to comfortably allow for maintenance.

If anyone has any experience with the two examples listed, or something else, I'd definitely appreciate your sharing your findings.

I don't have to have a stand that allows two tanks, but given that I have a small apartment, I'm just trying to maximize the space available :dive2:

Thanks in advance,
Bryant

my advice is that if you do go with a double stand for your 29, use a 20L (30" also) for the bottom tank.

you will be happy you did so. double stands can be a pain if you cant access the bottom tank very well.... you will inevitably skip a waterchange due to hassle.

siphoning a tank thats near the floor can get interesting sometimes. had a friend that eventually went out and bought a powerhead for waterchanges for that exact reason.

it is a nice space saver, though.
