Downgraded to 10 gallon tank, with pics

I know everyone upgrades to bigger tanks, but due to health issues I've had to go smaller.

First, I got the 10 gallon tank, a cheap-o incandescent hood (for compact flourescents), and a heater. At the LFS I found a nice piece of Malaysian driftwood that filled out the tank nicely.

Step one was deciding how the driftwood looked best (I went with the bottom photo).

I hated the see-through-to-the-wall look, so I painted the back glass black. I went with EcoComplete for a substrate because even though I was planning to do lightly planted, I like the look of a dark substrate.

Here's a shot with heaters and my mini canister fileter set up.

Here's its current state, planted with a few anubias (some nana, some barteri barteri), low foreground plants (I think they're dwarf sag but I don't remember), and fish (1 honey gourami in hiding, 7 cardinal tetras, 3 otocinclus).

The next phase will be to add some background plants. I have a few in QT, mostly twisted vals. I like to make sure the plants will grow under the conditions I can give them before adding them to my main tank.

Comments, thoughts, opinions?

Very nice setup. Whether it's a small tank or a large tank their always beautiful to see!
