Downgraded to 10 gallon tank, with pics

Thanks! My lighting is very low. I put a couple of those spiral compact flourescent bulbs in a regular incandescent hood.

I like it. A ten gallon is the perfect size tank for someone who cannot devote as much time to their tank or as you said because of health problems. A ten gallon tank can and often times looks really spectacular once it really gets going.

Good luck with it.

Question, how big do anubias nana get?

There are a lot of different kinds of anubias but the nanas tend to stay quite small and will cover the bottom of the tank nicely.

Thank you, Marinemom. It's been hard downgrading...every now and then I miss the bigger tanks I used to have. But this is all I can handle now, so I'm trying to make the most of it. And I gave my last larger tank to a member of this forum, so it went to a good home.

After the dwarf sag grows in a bit, I think it'll look a lot better.

Hum in that case, I'm gonna get some lol I'm turning aquaticly green these days it's like a new thing....spending...yet again lol

Here's its current state, planted with a few anubias (some nana, some barteri barteri), low foreground plants (I think they're dwarf sag but I don't remember), and fish (1 honey gourami in hiding, 7 cardinal tetras, 3 otocinclus).

Cool tank! I love it.

For a 10 gallon tank you could go with a crypt or 2 in the background. A bronze colored one or 2 could add some depth and the contrast with what green plants you have would be nice I think.

i was thinking of changing my african setup for a planted one this just pushed me a step closer
