I have the 2 dragons in the big 135 gallon. Last night, Flakor was going nuts and kicked fumble out of his hiding spot. For about maybe 5 seconds, they kept bashing heads at one another, seeing as its not like they can bite one another.... should I be worried and seperate them?

as well, my big dragons tummy is going pink again, but I have no clue what he could have rubbed it against!
and his underneath fins looked red... they arent injured at all, or bleeding... but its just strange and I cant explain or understand it.

Possibly 2 males? I believe they are better in 3s. Try adding Melafix for the irritation. What are your water parameters now?

Water parameters are perfect, nitrate at 10 ppm, doing w/c late tonight or 2morrow. I cannot have 3 as I do not feel I would have the ample space for the third once he is full grown, which I think is reasonable. I dont think its mating behaviour... I dont use Melafix anymore after I have heard and seen its destruction.

Not sure what you mean about Melafix. I swear by the stuff--if used properly.

From what I have read, it is not uncommon for them to fight over territory.
Maybe try making another similar hiding spot on the other side of the tank.

I am not so sure they can't bite each other. Mine has some pretty wicked looking teeth. The normal function of their teeth is to scrape algae from rocks.

There are currently 3 hiding spots. The fake mangrove, a hut that Falkor has claimed and the one fumble claimed. I was going to try and make more but the cost of slate skyrocketed... and aquarium decorations are soo expensive >.< Im thinking of buying another mangrove maybe... I havent seen them bite each other... just slam bodies into one another... this highly concerns me.... as I have no backup tank to put fumble in...
and as for melafix, I have heard it can do dnagerous things. He is not bleeding nor has ant torn fins whatsoever.. so I dont know what melafix would accomplish anyways.

Melafix is great for skin irritations. It is advised to use with an additional airstone but not always necessary.

Currently I do not have a pump that would be able to handle the extra airstone.
This is the article I read on Melafix.
and Puff, thanks for the idea about the third dg... but as I think I said before, I do not feel I would be capable of taking care of all three in the big tank, and I feel it would be unfair to the one fish. I enjoy my boys and I hope they ahve long fun lives!
