Dragon goby aggression and strange tummy?

You'd be surprised how wide a goby can open its mouth. They'll bite if they decide they want to.
How big are they? If the size difference is too much, the smaller one might not be able to defend itself and may be killed by the larger.
I'm not sure about the pink belly. I've heard of them lining up side by side and shoving each others' bodies by undulating as a territorial battle. Could that have caused it?
 
I just measured the big one, he is about 7-8" from face to end of tail... I though he was longer. Im assuming the little one is maybe 5-6" long... The pink belly was a previous thing going on.... and its seemed to have gone away and his belly is more white now.
 
Good to hear that the pinkness has gone away.
Two inches may be a considerable difference. The larger one may just be hitting maturity, while the smaller hasn't. Watch them very carefully. Provide as many separate hiding places as possible so the smaller is able to avoid the larger.
 
i have a 24 inch dragon goby i have had a few years he is in his own 75G tank with lots of plants and rocks to hide behind, but he is out most of the time and when i tap on the glass top of his tank he will come up and eat pellets i feed him. he sometimes gives the large apple snails in his tank a bad time and pushes them all around the tank like a toy but hasnt hurt any.
 
Im quite sure the large one is hitting maturity, but I have no worries that the other will hit it soon as well, he is darkening up, getting a bit thicker etc etc. I will be buying lots of more decorations but for right now I have to suffer with decorations and cups...
 
lol ROD, mine was playing with "his" zebra snail today. I think he has claimed it ^.^

Secondly, Melafix doesn't work. It's cheap and "new age" and I suppose that's why people buy it. But it doesn't work very well either
