Noticed this today on my 29gallon..

Here's what it looked like with 60 watts, no ferts, no CO2.

and..

This is the same tank 4 months later with the benefit of 130 watts of CF and near-steady DIY co2/PMDD fertiage!

I moved the log to another side, and had to give away my tiger lily, but few major arrangement changes otherwise.

more pics availible at http://www.esworp.net/tank/

couldn't have done it without the help of this board, natch!

Years ago my 100gal only had normal lights (about 90+ watts) and a DIY CO2 (a coke bottle with yeast and sugar). Everything was growing and I was happy.

About 4-5 years ago I changed to PC lights (now over 500 watts) with a 20lb CO2 tank, regulator, and bubble reactor. WOW!!! what a difference. My dwarf swords (I got 3 kinds) develope lots of "daughter" plants every day!! My larger swords grow almost an inch every day. Late last year I gave away LOTS of my dwarf sag and even tore down my tank, but they have already regrown to pre-tear-down amounts already.

Wow, that's amazing!!!! I'm just starting out, so my tank looks like your "before" pics. This gives me lots of hope and inspiration!!!

I guess that was sort of the idea.. I remember looking at folks' totally ripping tanks, and then look over to my collection of sprouts with dismay. Let my tank be proof! You CAN grow it.
