drift wood

the stuff i got was in the fish section under tanks with drift wood similar to it they have a pretty small reptile section as they specialize in fish and the driftwood was far from th reptile section and it was next to the slate rocks so im prety sure its safe its just that its either the real stuff or the cheesy doo doo from petsmart -lol- im not real big on ebay (my moms not comfortable with it) ((16, no credit card for me)) so is there newhere else online thats reliable and isnt expensive that sells it?? Thank Yall

I got mine from the LFS. all my fish seem happier with it

Mine was 4.99 (Canadian) per pound.

BTW Roan, are you sure your driftwood is Mopani and not malaysian? MAlaysian sinks right away, but it's been 2 months and my mopani pieces still haven't sunk yet...

As was mentioned, http://www.aquaticeco.com has some great driftwood for real cheap. You don't get a choice on the look of the pieces, and there is a size range for each "size", but all the pieces I received were centerpiece-worthy, imo. Check out my 65G in my sig to see some of it.

PS - You NEVER give your credit card information directly to the seller on eBay. You use Paypal which is now a subsidiary of eBay itself and they transfer the funds (without the information) from the buyer to the seller. I frequently buy and sell on eBay, and aside from non-paying bidders and sellers that I should not have bought from anyway (more than a couple legit negative feedback), I've never had any issues, even before Paypal was bought by eBay.

Hrm. I really didn't know what I had until today. When I saw this thread I started to wonder what this bogwood was and went and did some research on the web. Nothing looks even close to it except for the Mopani. All the text I read with it said that it sinks immediately and mine did. This stuff is VERY heavy and all my plecos love it more than the Malaysian.

Tell you what, I have to go to the LFS either tonight or tomorrow and I'll get them to find out exactly what it is for me.

I do have Malaysian driftwood as well and I purchased it "in bulk" from http://www.aquaticeco.com . I bought -- 20? pieces from them. I need more, too :)
