Okay ive got some pecan sticks boling. Theyve been in there for a little but im wondering how long i need to boil. I'm going to boil for at least an hour empty the water and redo it for another amount of time that i'm unsure of. Also i believe that these will still be floating after boiling so im going to soak them in a bucket outside. Does the soaking water need to be dechlorinated? and do i need to boil them again after i soak them?

Just replaced the water boiling again

anyone know how long i need to boil? Does the soaking water need to be dechlor?

you can use pretty much any water to soak.. if it's chlorinated make sure you add de chlor before placing in tank.

ok thanks i was worried about chlorine leaching out from the wood and into the tank

thanks for all the help. turns out i didnt need to soak all of them sank right away except for one that i dug down into the substrate. thanks again!!! :D
