4 $ a lb. canadian should buy the best 2tone hardwod driftwood out there. its in all fish stores next to the lava rock.I pet peeve that driftwood with the flat anchor rock screwed to its base or siliconed,its so ugly. good driftwood(hardwood) sinks on its own, doesn't need anchoring,isn't blonde coloured & feels heavier than lava rock. it's not cypress I don't think but something exotic with nooks & crannies thats hard enough to last for decades @ least in a tank. Floaty softwoods ussualy just rot adding to your bioload.
