speaking of tannins.. my water is terrible, im boiling my wood but it isnt working.. been at it a day straight now.. it doesnt fit in the pot so i have to rotate =(

I was studying the water very close today and am thinking it may be either a bacteria bloom or micro air bubbles.
But I still have these tiny white specks all over everything on the bottom? Its so strange. it really looks like ick, but only on the bottom surface.. (nothing on fish) its been there for weeks now.
