Drs. Foster and Smith, A Love Story

Roan,

Sorry to hear about the frustration (and I hope your plants turn out okay) but good to hear about Drs F&S. I've bought small ticket items from them before, and a number of fish, and have to say when they shipped me the wrong fish once they immediate sent me the correct one the next day at no charge -- they only asked me to either take care of the "wrong" fish or find him a new home.

Best,
~Snowy

wonderful!
how do you hvae your 75 set up, if you don't mind my asking- or point me to the right thread. my 25 sprung. dh may be getting me another tank and he was seriously looking at the 75s...yeah for me! i have some concerns b/c the carpet is plush and no other room to put it in. i hd my 25 stand sitting on plywood but it wasn't strong enough. it was off level but very little and enough to get an old tank leaking.
Well, it's in our family was studio now studio/fish room :)

Our carpet is pretty beat up. It's beige - or WAS beige -- now it's Virginia Dirt Red. We have three rough coated collies and they constantly track dirt and mud all over the place. We're going to replace all the carpeting with wood next year.

Anyhow, I just set it up on the carpet beside my 36g. Shimmed one end because it was off by about 1/8th of an inch. I'm going to set the other 75g on the other side in March.

will you hve to break down all your tanks to move them adn put in the flooring? we are unfinished in our living room, otherwise the tank would go in there, but i dread setting a tank up just to take it back down and stress my fish.

I'll make sure to check them out next time I have a problem. That is so great.

I love Drs foster and Smith and heard they were being added to petco mainly for distribution reasons. Since I only live about 275 miles from them here in Wisconsin I allmost always get my stuff from then the next day. Great service, maybe the Dovtors are just getting old and want to retire?

I had a little chip in a versa-top I ordered from them and they replaced it, no hassle. Plus I did not have to send the chipped item back. They are pretty awesome that way.

Yep. Petco has bought F&S. Primarily for their prescription pet medicine business where F&S is dominant.

They are certainly tops in the mail-order realm. I had to return a lighted hood to them not too long ago. Pretty much hassle free and full reimbursement. I can't say that about some other outfits.

I get my glass tops from them. They have the pest price for them by far and I usually get some other small stuff just for the free shipping.
