dubawi info?

Shekoi

Trying to start up again
i've brought some danios to add to my collection, but when i got home i had picked up a different fish that must have been in the same tank in the shop.

it's the same size as a danio, it's got black and creamy/white stripes running the length of it's body. after doing some reseach it looks like a dubawi catfish. i would like some information on this fish if anybody has some max size? etc.

If you are talking about 'debauwi' or any of several variants of that name, they are schooling diurnal cats which do very well in tanks, especialy in schools, but not if kept alone. They eat anthing, and are not large at all - about 3" or maybe 3 1/4". IME they are totally peaceful, always active. I keep them in planted tanks, but not high-light tanks, moderate lighting only - like Glass cats, they tend to get shy over 2-2.5W/Gallon for me. They are one of the best FW schooling fish in tanks IME.

The name seems to be Eutropiellus buffei.
