so im afraid my male swallowtail angel is changing into a female! here's a pic from when i got him a couple months ago

and here's a pic from today with the female in the background

now the male swallowtails have speckled tail fins rather than the black lined tail fins so when i got "him" i thought maybe he had at one time been a female and hadn't fully changed to a male - now i think i was very wrong! i haven't been able to find much info about them changing gender, does anyone know anything about this?

i really do like my female swallowtail, i just don't want 2 of them! i hope he doesn't go through with the change (feel like im talking him out of "that" surgery) he was such a handsome guy...

Hmmmm..Are you sure this is a swallowtail angel and not a genicanthus melanospilos? Is see no black bar on / by the eye....

The swallowtail angel, enicanthus semifasciatus, is different markings to blackspot angel, genicanthus melanospilos (which i believe this fish is) in both juvi and adult...
