Sounds good, how much live sand is needed to feed 50lb of the normal sand? You can see what the tank looke likee about a month ago here , Tank Can anyone reccomend some small fish, i just want to get like 2-4 fish with nice colors, you know like one blue, one yellow, one red or multi colored ones, but keep in mind, Im only gonna have the DSB, and the liverock in for now, ill slow save up for that euro skimmer but i dont expect that for a while.
For my 30g tank it took me 85 lbs of sand. So for your tank i would think 130 lbs of sand. 2-4 small fish is a good bioload for a tank thats 45 gallons and is running with a DSB and LR. For fish i think a royal garamma, clownfish (your choice), different types of blennies, basslets would be nice. and also, check out my tank and let me know what you would tihnk i would need for a skimmer, i would like a euro es255 haha or whatever it is, but i dont think i need sometihng like that for this type of tank, maybe my next one.
