Dwarf Angelfish

They could have been runts. I always have some angels that for some reason don't seem to grow like their brothers. They will be dime sized and their siblings are quarters approaching half dollars. I don't know if they ever catch up w/them because I don't keep them to see. If they were in a store display tank I would guess that they were underfed and did not develop correctly. If you ever want some runts to see how they grow let me know and I will tell you what I have available.

HTH,

i have spoken with my LFS and they are trying to source some p. leopoldi (worst case scenario i have to drive an hour or so to collect from a different branch as they have some in stock) just waiting for the call now. fingers crossed!!

Hope you get them. You won't be disappointed.

actualy i had a blusher i bought with a group of about 6 other angels kept them in a 65, all the other ones got to about one liter bottle size around, and had a blusher that didnt get bigger than a quarter had him two years until something went thru my tank and killed them all off except for my black lace who i still have :)

I have one dwarf angel in my tank. It's still same dime size from the time I got it from. A few others juveniles at the same time now have grown to 5 inches (from fin to fin) and spawnings. I have always been curious what happens to that particularly tiny angel, which never grows.

It's eating well and appears to be healthy. Since I am not a breeder, I am not selective and loving it the same way as my other angels. It has very good personality though and never be the ones that bullied others (considering its size).

Are you guys talking about "dwarf" angels, pteraphyllum leopoldi, or runt angels?
