Dwarf Crays

oh man now yours are berried!!!!

lol sorry fishy. It seems like im doing a few things wrong about keeping them but it just ends up being good lol. They say give them plenty of space, and best to keep them in a 10g tank so they bump into each other less often.. but i have them in the floating breeder tank which is like 1/2g lol. A few of mine have already molted and are doing pretty good. I mean though i do keep them in the small breeder tank i stuffed like 3/4 of it with guppy grass/java moss and at the bottom some stones. So they do have plenty of places to hide. Maybe you should decrease the space?? lol I know you got them in a 10g, maybe thats what is keeping them away from each other and not forcing them to mate?
I will need to take some of the plants out later and see the status of all of them since at the moment i only see 3-4 here and there. Also hope that thats not the only female in the bunch..
(post pictures of yours.. im still waiting lol)

These rock!!! do they have to have there own 10 gallon tank or can they be in with fish? I am so interested !! gee will I have to go out and buy a new tank? my kids would love these guys to!

you can keep them in a community tank without a problem, they wont really go at smaller fish since these guys just arnt that fast. But make sure you dont have any bigger fish which can make good snacks of these guys.. Though if you would want to actually breed them, you would increase your chances if they were in a tank by themselves.

I would like a few, if yours breed will you sell them? I have a 10 gallon tank with plants and moss that would be perfect. :)

Good luck on breeding them! Its hard to keep all the fry alive, two females just let out the babies a few days ago and I havent seen one.
I will be isolating the berried female to her own tank and once the young come then she will be out of there..
How long after yours got berried that she dropped the young?? one site says 2-3 weeks another site says a month
