I have a really nice yellow dwarf fan worm that has a gorgeous tube. Yesterday I noticed a new crown behind a live rock (between the rock and the back of the tank) However; is it new or is it that the fan worm tube in front of this live rock is now empty? Not about to disturb it to find out but... is this something that is common?
I've looked into the end of the tube best I can and it does appear that something remains inside. Nothing has come out of the tube in a couple days and the crown I'm seeing behind the rock appears to be the same size and color of the one suspected of leaving its tube.
Will a fan worm leave its tube behind and relocate itself?
