I have two Dwarf Gouramis in my 10 gal community tank. All of a sudden one of the gouramies has chased the other into a castle and does not let the other one out. He does this all day and night. Is this normal? From what I have read is that they are a peaceful fish and will even swim in pairs. I do not know if it makes a difference but one of them is a red gourami and the other is blue. Thanks for your input.

Fairly normal. As adults, dwarf gouramies are not peaceful, but are very territorial and will not stand another male in their area. In large enough tanks, they can split up the tank and be oaky, but in small tanks, they will fight and sometimes kill one another.

I used to have two Dwarf Gouramis in my 75-gallon tank and they each had one side of the tank. If one of the gouramis went into the other gouramis side of the tank he would get chased out. They are very territorial fish but fun to watch if you have a large enough tank. I would take one of your gouramis back to the LFS to avoid the one in the castle from being killed.
