I have Gouramis (2 three-spot, 2 kissing, and 1 dawrf). I had two dawrf gouramis but the one died. All of my gouramis are peaceful and all school together. I think most of mine are of the same gender. Sometimes with mixing genders you will find more aggression. Hope everything works out.

The only problems ive had with my drawf gouramis (pair of powder blue,male drawf in same tank) are that they were beten up by the threespot gourami (the drawf had his body go crooked) the above metioned fish were kept with a variety of tetras(buneus aieres,black skirt and flame) zebra danios, a pair of bettas, an otto and some bronze corys in a 30g(30x18x12).
well i had to get rid of the males today - not only were they chasing each other and terrorising the other females in the tank earlier today, they then both started on my peachful dwarf neon rainbows - which was basically the deciding factor and they went. You could almost see the relief on the 2 females faces afterwards and one of them is actually coming out to the front of the tank quite a bit now when she used to stay huddled up at the back before. Harmony in the tank is finally restored!!
glad to hear that everything is all good again!! Sometimes dwarf gouramis just have different personalities too, but they can def beat up tank mates!!
