My LFS has the most amazing looking opaline gourami, would it be OK to mix with my dwarf boys? would it be OK by itself or do they need to be in pairs? If I were to add some Angels later on would that pose a problem?

In the perfect situation I would want to add the Opaline and then two Angels.

But first I need to decide on a species of cory to add....decisions, decisions!!

If anyone was curious, this match seems to work fine :)

we got a STUNNING male opaline, his name is Bobo (don't ask, the wife named him  )

He has staked claim to the prefered corner of the tank from our flame dwarf with little conflict. He really doesnt seem to mind the dwarfs keeping track of him at all times. He still is a little shy though.

I'll take some pictures tonight! :)

The question still remains as to how many Angels I could add with my existing occupants.

You'd probably be happiest with a pair of Angels... but to get a pair you'll need to get 5 or 6 little ones and wait for a pair to form up.

You could probably keep 4 longterm if you wanted to though.

Hey Mopar, you are describing my tank set up.

Right now I have my 50gl. tank with 9 assorted gouramies, 2 angels and 3 cories. They have been fine, and since I added 10+ live plants to the tank, they are minding their own bussines in dfiff'rnt parts of the tank.
