Don't know if you're asking me or firsttanks, but here goes for me. I keep them in a 55 gallon, yes, they're very small and you'd think they get lost but really, they're pretty "all over the tank active" in mine. With them, I have 1 zebra danio, 1 lemon head pleco, scattered peppered cory's, 4 Bandit cory's, 1 Angel, 1 algae eater, 1 redtail shark, 3 bumblebee gobies, and 2 Bolivian Rams.
I believe the cost of them can range anywhere from 1.99 to 4.99, depending on where you go......of course this is in Jersey, not sure about California.

I wouldn't put any puffer in with an angelfish, or any other long-finned fish.

they've been together for quite a while, probably over a year or so and I have yet to have a problem with them nipping the Angel nor any of the others. I understand that these guys are notorious for nipping but I've kept a close watch on this capability and have found that the "fin-nipping" is individual-based, which is evident from my group.

My little pack is sitting fat and comfortable in a 25 gal Hex tank. I have 2 males (Kinky, the dominant male, and Skittish....the not so dominant male) and 4 females (PP, Fatty Bigeye, XP, and number 4.) I paid $ 2.99 Cdn. for then when they were 1/2 inch long and in 4 months they have doubled in size (Except PP...short for "Puny Puffer" who is only 3/4 inchs now).
I have tried them in a community tank (just one big amusement park for the puffers), big mistake. I tried them with starter Africian Mbunas....bigger mistake, the mabunas tried to bully them and the pack turned.....final score... Pack 1, Mbunas 0.
After they got their own tank, I tried a couple of cories...poor little beggers got nipped up so bad the first night they had to be moved. The only fish to stay with the pack are Bumblebee Gobies, and they have to be moved to BW soon...I may replace them with Peacock Gobies.

......I recomend getting the Dwarfs if you have a tank for them, IMHO they are great:D
