dwarf puffers in community tanks

I do not know why you just reiterated my link. I am beginnig think you are a troll.

it sems that fishcatch and tai don't get along well  , imho i'm tired of the troll calling. we all know what trolls are. and obviously the two of you have been around a bit longer than i have yet you seem to jump to conclusions and throw that much disliked term "troll" at someone. just chill out on the troll calling, and let's try to keep most of AC, if not all, free of hostility between members.

yeah, he keeps calling me a troll. and telling me my posts are worthless. he don't know jack. I didn't start this, he did.

If you note the times of the posts, his post is less than a minute off yours. He posted at the same time you did, it happens to all of us, he was not being a troll or being difficult.

I'm a member on dwarfpuffers.com, and they basically the same thing folks here have said. They very very rarely make good additions to community tanks, but some people have gotten it to work. My theory is that it's mostly with juveniles, and that they get aggressive as they get older and need to be moved eventually. Some dp's are OK with shrimp, some eat them. The little guys are full of personality, and can vary quite a bit, so you won't know until you try it. But always be prepared to house them separately, is the best advice.

I have one in a 20 gallon community tank and he does quite well. I have not seen him mess with anyone or visa versa. He is a real cutie. The tank is heavily planted and I am thinking this may be the reason that no problems exist with the puffer. I have heard that puffers don't do well in community tanks and just figure I got lucky, but I am not going to press that luck by putting another one in. He seems happy being the only puffer. If you get one, be careful and have another place to put him if it doesn't work.

noramlly, I would think that, too, but, this guy has decided to make me his nemesis, so I treat him as such.
