Dyed fish?

I went to one of the LFS that I always go to, and what do you know. Dyed flowerhorns for $19.99 I turned around and walked out of the store. I thought that this was a reputable store, until know. I will not go back to this store again. It suck's for me too because it was right by my house, now I have to drive across town to go the the other store here in town.
 
I won't boycott a store over dyed fish. I don't always think they can help what they get in shipments and its hard to tell if they came in on purpose or not.
 
If you walked out never to return again without saying anything to the management, then your boycott is essentially useless.

My LFS if pretty good and only once did I see a tank full of dyed parrot fish. I mentioned it to the owner and he told me that he always orders natural fish and those fish came in the shipment. He said that dyed and painted fish die too often in his aquariums and he can't sell dead fish. So hurricane jedi may be onto something. Since then, I have not seen a dyed fish in his store.
 
At my LFS, the guy who sometimes does the ordering gets some really wack stuff sometimes. I don't think he knows as much about fish as the other guys.

Anyhow, I have spent thousands of dollars at this store and a few weeks ago they got some painted skirts in. The guy who does the wack stuff is the one that ordered them.

I complained. Big time.

I haven't seen any since and I doubt I will. At least, I'd better not unless they want me to take my business somewhere else.

There was about 20 of them in the tanks, so I think someone had to of ordered them. I think I will go back in there and tell them what we think. Thanks guys
