My Mint Charlie has been getting very brownish colored leaves and stems over this past week. I use Flourish Comp. Supplement & I got 1.5WPG(20 gal-30wts). Is it b/c I am due for a water change? I haven't done one in about 2 weeks? There's only a 4 month old guppy but it poops a lot & I had snails for about a month but I removed them all since they contributed to the bioload. Any suggestions?

I'm not familiar with the "mint charlie", but found a brief discussion on it with a search on this site discussing the roots of stem plants and how they should be replanted. Without knowing the scientific name I couldn't be sure what the problem could be. If you posted a pic, maybe somebody might be able to ID it. Sorry could not be of more help.

Why do you think you can't have more than one fish in a 20g tank? You could have a big school of guppies in there. Doing a water change every week is best, too. keeps the water nice and clear and clean.

Well I could get the pics of sometime this week and I am aware I could have more guppies: I had 4 guppies & 3 platies at one point. But the waste was too much so I removed them ALL and I let one of the fry that I had fully grow. But replanting the stems is for propagation(breeding) which I have done before with them. And I tend to do PWC's every 10 days but I was real busy last week. Does the term Creeping Mint Charlie help at all?

Yes the second site.

Well look at this pics and look next to the heater. It's the plant with the short leaves and long stems.
