I can't believe that I didn't think of this, I have x-ray tetra's and they don't bother the shrimp, but I noticed one of my cherry reds is definitly carring eggs. Are they just potential food? Or should I try to catch and quarintine her? And again thank you everyone and happy holidays.

I would recommend separating the female. A general rule is if something will fit in another fishes mouth they will eat it regardless if its an Oscar or Neon Tetra. If you didn't want to go through all the work of separating her I would advise adding plenty of hiding places for the babies. They won"t all survive but some will.
baby cherries are pretty pale in color, but they run the risk of being eaten by literally everything in the tank, except maybe snails lol.

Recommend getting a breeder's nest. cost 2 bucks at petsmart or petco. I have a ton of these and they are very successful when used properly. But if you don't want to do that, you could put some elaborated big plant in there.... it's a good method to keep many babies alive.
Thank you! I did do a little research and my tank is planted, hopefully they will have enough hiding spaces for some to survive. I'll check out the breeder's net as well. Happy Holidays! (my ghost shrimp are carrying eggs too) This keeps up and I won't even have to feed my fish! (just joking)
