Anyone include earthworms as a diet for their fishes? I decided to try it on my aro but the silver tip sharks ended up gobbling them all up instead. Like a feeding frenzy!

Yep, used to be a staple for the SW tanks, even. If you're digging your own, make sure the area is not chemically treated with fertilizers or pesticides.

For many of my FW fish, I had to chop them into chunks, to avoid fish with small mouths from choking themselves (a spiny eel was the problem fish--had to grab him and pull the worms out if I wasn't careful).

Seen a employee at lfs use long tongs to feed some type of SW eel with it. Thanks for the advise. I'll probably ending up just feeding the worms as treats instead of regular staple.

My fish go nuts on them. I feed them to my small(er) trimac and festae and they destroy them:D . I think if you are "in to" feeding live food to watch how the fish act then worms are the best. Feeder fish are so boring, and diseased.
I get mine from the sporting goods section at Wally World aka Wal Mart.
