I say "larger" because I know some members 200+g tanks, where mine is only 55g.

I am finding myself slacking on water changes on 55g because I have not gotten it down to a manageable process. My 10g and 3g, no problem!

My main issue seems to be when I am replacing the water. What does someone do when they have a 200+g tank and and its time for a water change? Even with 5g jugs that seems like an overwhelming task....

Just curious....

Python, connect to faucet, adjust water temp, fill tank. :thm:

Python.

:thm: Hello there water changing snoockins,
Don't dispair, help = near.

Our 55fer is located upstairs in our Cape Cod home bedroom, 1 giant room.
Tank + faucet R about 35 feet apart.
Faucet has a quick connect thingie-poo attached, so does the RV moterhome drinking water supply hose.
Get syphon going, suck water out,
backflush the hose into the sink to get all fish-poo out,
hang hose back onto the tank and fill....30 minutes work time...no lugging of heavy pails...fishies R smiling + all is well.

Python!

Your back will thank you. :)

I still use the python to fill buckets for adding pure. could I just add the pure to the tank? Ive always wondered that..
