Just thought I'd post an 'easy on the eyes' CO2 chart. There are some other sites that also have CO2 charts....

Thank you Joe. This is probably the clearest chart I've seen on a very important element of plant/fish keeping.

You're welcome. I think from time to time, the table should be re-posted as there are 'new' people that stop by the Forums. :)
 
Best looking chart yet, Joe. I have two other charts that say CO² over 30 ppm are dangerous, whereas this chart claims anything over 25 ppm is stressfull. What are your views?

Also, I would love to see the KH/pH/CO² relationship posted as a mathamatical formula. I record my tank parameters on a spreadsheet and it would be cool if I could have my CO² recorded automaticaly instead of having to look it up. Does anyone know this formula?

Try to keep it below 25 ppm..

The good range is more suited in this table.
10ppm is not enough CO2 nor is 30ppm bad for fish IME, even the wimpy ones. 20-30ppm is a better range, it gives 5 ppm error either direction and folks seem to have at least that much error in either their pH or their KH measurement. Even with a pH monitor and Lamott KH kit, I can only really guess to within 3ppm or so. So a mid point of 25ppm is good.

This is also true for low light tanks as growth and health is better when you maintain good rich CO2 levels.

Few folks have issues with too much CO2 also, most have too little, and virtually all DIY'ers run low at some point during the time between recharges. Gasping fish is often a sign of poor plant growth and not enough current.
