easy darts?

which would you recommend...both are equally attractive to me so whichever one is more outgoing and is easier to keep/feed and is best suited for the conditions described above is good for me

and just b/c im a noob, what is so bad about letting them crossbreed?

Being semi new to this myself, I'm not sure.

The Leucs are more bold from what I've read, but my Auratus are pretty bold too. It's up to you which one you like more. :)

It really depends on the type of Luec and the type of Auratus you are looking at. Standard Leucs are fairly bold as well as most (not all) Costa Rican (green & black) Auratus. Both are a smaller species and are arboral, though they do stay on the ground quite a bit. You could keep two in a 10g (vert or regular), but bigger is always better. You would do best do go with a 20g and get a group of four (either species) in order to get the most enjoyment from them. They are very active and a heavily planted tank will help them feel more secure so you'll see more of them.

If you are looking for a BOLD species, go with some sort of Tinc. You can house one and it will even beg at the glass for food! Not sure of your location, but many breeders will sell you darts pretty cheap if you are local. You anywhere near Knoxville, TN?

is there any kind of dart frog that i could house in a 20 gallon long? i already have the tank and stand from previous pets and it would be ideal for me. leucs are currently on the top of my list of what i want and would be wonderful if i could keep those.? what about 2 Azureus in the 20 long those are nice too and i hear they are pretty bold?

i am no where near tn. i was just down there for vacation and it took lyk 15 hrs to get there lol

Azureus are big frogs, you could house two in a 20 long. On the other hand, you could fit a quartet of Auratus in the same tank, since they're smaller.

now can i ask you if the color morph makes a difference in temperment, habitat, etc?

i think i will go with a quartet of leucs or a quartet of auratus(bronze+blue or black+blue most preferably)

ok now that i have a basic idea of what im doing and how... the only problem that i have is feeding.
i know that i have to feed them flightless fruitflies and i have to culture them my self... but i have no idea what that involves.

could someone run me through all the steps of this and the materials needed?

I've never fed my Auratus fruit flies, they do fine on pin head crickets.
