i want to get some easy plants that i can try in my tank. i do have a convict and a jewel would they eat it? i have normal light and nothing and i dont plan on upgradeing right now so what are some plants that would be good for my to try my hand at? thanks for the help

Java fern is my favorite. Easy, fast, and ok with low light. Get a bunch and tie it on some driftwood or rocks. Dunno if they will eat it or destroy it. If you tie it to rocks well they cant uproot it, and Ive heard it has a chemical to make it unsavory for fish to eat.

I don't know about the jewel and and am not sure if cons will eat the fern, but I do know that I could not keep any plants with my cons. Not so much that they ate them but more for the fact that they did not like them. They would push, pull and yank and do anything it took to get rid of them.
Not sure how cons do with foalting plants but maybe try some brazilian pennywort and see what happens? It is a very easy-to-care-for plant
