Easy Fish To Breed

Convicts will populate in no time. You don't have to separate them. Sometimes others will eat the fry but cons are some of the best parents I have ever seen. Usually the other fish in the tank will be fighting for a corner when a pair have babies. Put eggcrate on the bottom of the tank, put substrate up to the top of the eggcrate and then put lots of rocks with caves and then more substrate. The eggcrate stops the cons from digging under the rocks and making them unstable. This method works great.

Kribs are easy or danois or white moutain minows it your in for a bit more of a challage.

Look into a tank divider. You have a large tank that can easily be split into 2 section if you need to keep the pair away from other fish.

Easiest fish to breed

This may not apply for a 100 gallon tank but IMO the easiest fish that I have bred is the killifish. They are egg layers, but only lay a few eggs a day. The males of the species are usually the more attractive of the two and have very vibrant colors. Killifish pairs can sell anywhere from $5.00 to $12.00 a pair or more. Just my thought.

Mouthbrooding species from the Rift Lakes? From what I understand, Mbuna breed pretty easy! Keep lots of caves and little crevices and I'd imagine many of the fry would survive.

i have been told that kribs are easy to breed and they apparently will kill other fish to save their fry
