easy fish to breed

Also, what is your motivation for breeding? If it is to make money by selling the offspring I advise you against this. The money you will spend on supplies such as suitable food may eat up any potential profits. Also, if your only outlet for sales is a local fish store you will find the majority only offer store credit and will give you very little per fish (and turn around and mark up the price significantly to costumers).

If the motivation for breeding is just to tinker around and have some fun watching babies grow then I suggest getting some live plants and shrimp. The shrimp will breed readily and the new experience learning about plants can be both rewarding and addictive.

Guppies - Put a male and female together and it's impossible not to get babies. Absolutely nothing easier.

Just be sure you have someplace to unload the fry. I added 6 guppies in my tank one month ago at my wife's request. Now I have six adults and I have no idea how many fry. The goldfish will have something to munch on in a few weeks.

It's all about footprint. 3 tanks are the same as one.

i have a ten gal i know its small but it has a really large surface area and i cant get any thing larger parents rules
in petco i saw 2 baby albino kribs i think one was a boy because it has a long dorsal fin and the other one a girl because of the rounded edge on the dorsal fin. they wernt even 1 inch yet.
is that a good idea or not to get them
:thm:
if you build a tastefully done rack your allowed space can hold three tanks and not be overwhelming....of course discuss this plan with your parents...at an opportune time. Grab the kribs...as they grow provide a natural habitat for them....some cover some open areas. The babies are a distant consideration but with three tanks you have a lot of options when that time comes....always consider water quality, temperature, and diet....you can't read enough on these topics...gl

I've only spawned fancy tail guppies and a betta a few times before.
Might be a good idea to do so again as I have a few spare tanks at home.
Whatever you decide just keep a progress list. Good to know the outcome.

Also, where do you purchase cherry shrimps? Never heard of them before.

I got all my cherry shrimp online. I only bought through Ebay, Aquabid, and here in the Classifieds. The only shrimp that are carried in my LFSs are ghost shrimp, bamboo shrimp, wood shrimp, or saltwater shrimp. I think the best deals are from other hobbyists through the forums.
