WTB Easy Request (?) - Common Pleco in NYC

I realize I could probably head to any number of pet stores and find decent-sized "common" plecos, but I thought I'd check in here first to see if anyone in NYC might happen to be looking to unload one first.

Anyhow, preferably one in the 7-10" range. Anyone?

There are LFS in china-town that have them, but maybe on the smaller side

I have a couple, but am in California. Wonder how hard they'd be to ship.

Have you tried Craigslist? Around the Philadelphia area, you can frequently find large common plecos that need to be rehomed. Maybe it would be the same where you are.

try any petland discounts in nyc, they usually have the large ones with some aggressive cichlids in a 55 gallon.

I actually don't see them that large here in the city... at least not in the 7-10" range. I see mostly 4-5" ones. I'd like to know where there are such large plecos around here And I'm not sure Petland is such a decent place for fish. I trust LFSs more.

I've seen them in several petland discounts actually, thats where I got mine a couple years ago. LFS are probably least likely to carry them because they don't sell quickly and take up their needed space.
